On the comfortable road to recovery

Contour Garments offers a unique selection of high quality and medically designed range of compression garments.

Compression garments can be worn following various types of surgery, during and after pregnancy and just for support and comfort. The garments are carefully selected by a large number of therapists, midwives, obstetricians and surgeons.

They are stretchy and elastic, and they are worn directly over the target area. As the name implies, they compress the healing area.
When reducing stress in target areas, it enhances the healing ability that our body has naturally.

Constricting clothing covering the area that is healing, it is actually very supportive.
Wearing a compression garment may actually be able to increase your comfort during recovery as well. The pressure that it exerts can have a stabilizing influence.

By holding things tightly in place, it can help you to avoid sudden, uncomfortable movement or pressures.

Compression garments can be beneficial to assist with:

  • Pregnancy related discomfort
  • Abdominal support
  • Post-partum healing (C-section and natural delivery)
  • Posture improvement
  • Oedema
  • Back, pelvic and sciatica pain minimization
  • Organ repositioning
  • Ligament stabilisation
  • Vulva Varicosities
  • Temporary Urinary Incontinence during and post pregnancy
  • Preventing Diastasis recti (DRAM), common condition in women after birth. Diastasis negatively affects the strength of the abdominal wall and can aggravate or initiate other problems)
  • Perineal trauma post episiotomy and post 2nd and 3rd degrees tears
If you experience any of the symptoms listed above, please see your doctor.

Our Quality

Our garments are carefully selected and recommended by a large number of therapists, midwives, obstetricians and surgeons.

Our garments are extremely soft, silky textures very comfortable against sensitive targeted areas.
Stitches are constructed so they are perfectly flat, zippers and hook-and-eye closures are never in danger of contacting the skin.
You may be tempted to continue wearing some of them long after healing!

Our garments are very different from standard girdles (fashion and shape) and athletic tights available at local outlets.
They have important characteristics like flat non-marking seams, inner panels that provide the targeted compression during the healing, labels placed outside all garments, the last but not least, an open crotch intended for long term wear (for the medical-grade corset only).

In an effort to maximise comfort and support during the use of compression garments, we carefully select our products focusing on every stitch, every panel, fabric structure and technology used to produce the garments. Each garment can withstand numerous washes, endure extremely long wear times and retain original shape and quality.

Use of all garments is advised if the patient correctly fits the measurements parameters.
The garments must fit correctly and comfortably. Garments should be able to be worn and stay in place without slipping or rolling.

Depending on the intensity of the usage of your garment, a good rule of thumb is to purchase duplicate garments so you always have a backup as you will need a replace when having one washed.
